Circularity Trial

Customers at Aesop South Yarra and Aesop QV in Melbourne are invited to take part in our Circularity Trial. Reusable glass bottles are available for purchase, to be filled with select formulations from our custom-made dispensary machines. Once depleted, they can be returned to store and exchanged for a refilled replacement. This allows for a significant reduction in plastic use, and can contribute to a lower carbon footprint over time, compared to repurchase of a non-refilled version.  

This approach makes full use of the durable nature of our signature amber glass, without compromising the efficacy of the products housed within. Alongside the environmental and aesthetic benefits, Aesop customers will also pay a reduced cost overall, after the initial investment in their reusable vessel. 

To partake in the Circularity Trial, please visit Aesop South Yarra or Aesop QV, where a trained consultant can determine the formulation best suited to your skin or body care needs—and offer the pertinent usage instructions.   Once your reusable glass bottle has run empty, simply return it to the store and swap it for a refilled replacement.   All reusable glass bottles undergo a stringent cleaning cycle on site—after which they re-join circulation, to be purchased by another customer. 

Circular initiatives such as this will be expanded into more stores in the coming years, as part of a continual investment in sustainability—helping to reduce environmental impact and supporting our goal of becoming a low-carbon, circular and truly responsible business.
